Software for goods warehause management system (ordered by company UAB "Lietuvos spauda")

Goods warehause management system is built up from several hundreds of indicators (small digital scoreboards, each with single key-button), screwed to the shelfs in warehouse sections (one section consists of 100..200 related shelfs). These indicators are controlled by several computers (one computer per one warehouse section). Also one computer (main system server) is dedicated for overall process management. This computer reads data from company's ERP system about goods to be redistributed in sections and shelfs. Items (goods) are chosen one by one by scanning item barcode with barcode scanners (each section computer has barcode scanner attached to it). Amounts for selected item in each shelf are displayed on corresponding shelf indicators. Employee sees what amount of currently selected item has to be placed on or taken from the corresponding shelf.  Then she/he places (or takes) good item and presses key-button on the shelf indicator stating that certain shelf is processed.

In general, system can work in three modes with different business logic: receiving of goods, dispatching of goods, and auditing mode.

Technologies used for this system: Microsoft Visual Basic 6, C++, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL server.

Data are stored in Microsoft SQL Server database with possibility to acces them from any other systems (i. e. for analysing purposes).
